ADI wins Award of Merit for Ashburn Pediatric Dental Center

Earlier this month at the AGC of DC “Washington Contractor Awards,” ADI was given an Award of Merit for the Ashburn Pediatric Dental Center Project.

In Progress: DaVita Dialysis Clinic

Petersburg, VA

ADI Construction is in the process of completing a new single-story medical building for DaVita Dialysis. ADI developed the entire site, including the replacement of a 3-foot undercut of unsuitable soils prior to construction, and was still able to complete the project on time and within budget. The project features a 30-foot cantilevered entrance canopy. As you enter the space, you are greeted by two dry-stacked, stone feature walls in the waiting area leading into the treatment areas.

Weekly Featured Project: Inova Mount Vernon Special Procedures

Alexandria, VA

The goal of this project was to provide a multi-phased implementation of the renovation of 9,000 sf of space within the INOVA Hospital. The scope included the installation of two Special Procedures operating rooms, along with the required Prep and Technical support areas. Extremely careful collaboration was required for the renovation of the public corridors in the work area, which consisted of all new floor, wall and ceiling finishes. All of the work occurred on the first floor, in close proximity to one of the main lobbies, and required that all work be staged so as to allow for uninterrupted use and access to all adjacent areas. ADI successfully engaged the hospital staff project team to satisfy all of the hospital requirements throughout construction.

Newly Finished Project: Ashburn Pediatric Dental Center

Ashburn, VA

ADI Construction completed the build out of a large high tech dental center in Ashburn, VA. The facility includes installation of over 18 TV’s, 10 video games and a complete automated lighting, HVAC and security system, as well as the infrastructure for a large 13 chair dental practice. The design included many radius walls, bulkheads and high-end finishes. The owner added extensive design changes during construction which required extensive tracking and coordination. ADI coordinated the work in the 5,600 SF facility with the owners dental equipment vendor and system automation/data/entertainment vendor.

Newly Finished Project: Inova Gainesville Vein Vascular Imaging

Gainesville, VA

One of two projects that ran on the same schedule in a large new shell space. Vein and Vascular Imaging is a medical office suite offering X-Ray, future CT, angioplasty, and vascular treatment rooms. ADI worked closely with imaging equipment manufacturers to prepare the rooms to meet the equipment specifications, as well as coordinate equipment delivery and installation. This project required careful detailing for the installation of the large C-Arm machine. This specialized X-ray imaging machine allows patients and doctors to see results quickly. The device is designed to be comfortable and less invasive for patients.

Newly Finished Project – DaVita Roxboro, North Carolina

First project in North Carolina!

ADI Construction began working in April of 2013 during one of the wettest Spring/Summer seasons in years. This project is a brand new, ground up building for DaVita Dialysis on a 4 acre site. This project included the clearing of the site, bringing in all utilities, all exterior paving – including a roadway for medical vehicles, private driveway, parking and drive aisles. ADI also added two retention ponds – one for filtering run off of storm water and one dry pond. While dealing with an already tight schedule, workers had to deal with an abundant amount of subsurface rock. Once that challenge was overcome, ADI was able to pour the concrete base and erect the steel core. The exterior of the building was finished with brick work and an exterior insulated fenestration system veneer.

Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital – Weekly Featured Project

Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital is arguably the most advanced animal care facility in the Mid-Atlantic region. The hospital features state of the art surgical suites, dental suites, intensive care units, treatment stations, exam rooms, and full service laboratory and pharmacy facilities. Rocky Gorge also has a full range of diagnostic tools that include digital radiography, ultrasound, and a CT scanner, which is virtually unheard of in the industry.

Newly Finished Project – ILH Stereotactic Room

This project consisted of a complete built out and renovation to an existing radiology room to accommodate new equipment for breast biopsy procedures. ADI installed three custom LED lighted wall art panels with custom work trim to provide a soothing atmosphere for the patients. Custom shaded in the Control Room added for patient privacy. Other work included floor leveling and new flooring, ceiling, conduits, raceway, drywall, custom cabinetry, doors, paint and custom wood trim. This was all completed in a busy hospital radiology suite and needed to be coordinated with multi-levels of hospital personnel.

INOVA Woodbridge Urgent Care

ADI Construction completed the interior build-out for Inova’s urgent care practice in just six weeks. With the tight schedule, and tasked with the rough-in for the x-ray equipment, ADI turned over a high quality space that matches Inova’s top notch reputation.

Inova Advanced Imaging Center: Complete

ADI Construction completed the complete renovation of office space into a high-end medical imaging center. Construction included all new mechanical systems and electrical service. Work requiredextensive structural modifications to support the weight of the new equipment, including a 17,000 lb magnet. With a relatively low bar joist height, this required careful coordination of above ceiling work. Careful selection of finishes were used to create a calming atmosphere for the patients. This included Earth tones on walls and flooring, a water feature in the hallway, and lighted landscape murals in the CT and MRI ceilings.
