ADI Construction completed the build out of a large high tech dental center in Ashburn, VA. The facility includes installation of over 18 TV’s, 10 video games and a complete automated lighting, HVAC and security system, as well as the infrastructure for a large 13 chair dental practice. The design included many radius walls, bulkheads and high-end finishes. The owner added extensive design changes during construction which required extensive tracking and coordination. ADI coordinated the work in the 5,600 SF facility with the owners dental equipment vendor and system automation/data/entertainment vendor.
ADI Construction began working in April of 2013 during one of the wettest Spring/Summer seasons in years. This project is a brand new, ground up building for DaVita Dialysis on a 4 acre site. This project included the clearing of the site, bringing in all utilities, all exterior paving – including a roadway for medical vehicles, private driveway, parking and drive aisles. ADI also added two retention ponds – one for filtering run off of storm water and one dry pond. While dealing with an already tight schedule, workers had to deal with an abundant amount of subsurface rock. Once that challenge was overcome, ADI was able to pour the concrete base and erect the steel core. The exterior of the building was finished with brick work and an exterior insulated fenestration system veneer.
This project consisted of a complete built out and renovation to an existing radiology room to accommodate new equipment for breast biopsy procedures. ADI installed three custom LED lighted wall art panels with custom work trim to provide a soothing atmosphere for the patients. Custom shaded in the Control Room added for patient privacy. Other work included floor leveling and new flooring, ceiling, conduits, raceway, drywall, custom cabinetry, doors, paint and custom wood trim. This was all completed in a busy hospital radiology suite and needed to be coordinated with multi-levels of hospital personnel.
ADI Construction completed the complete renovation of office space into a high-end medical imaging center. Construction included all new mechanical systems and electrical service. Work requiredextensive structural modifications to support the weight of the new equipment, including a 17,000 lb magnet. With a relatively low bar joist height, this required careful coordination of above ceiling work. Careful selection of finishes were used to create a calming atmosphere for the patients. This included Earth tones on walls and flooring, a water feature in the hallway, and lighted landscape murals in the CT and MRI ceilings.
An ADI project, Veterinary Orthopedic Sports Medicine, is an Honorable award winner by Veterinary Economics for Best Veterinary Facility in the US in 2009.
ADI designed and constructed this unique Veterinary Orthopedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Facility for the Veterinary Orthopedic Sports Medicine Group (VOSM). The facility features four operating rooms modeled after and on par with Johns Hopkins operating theatres. Other highlights of the project include state of the art, human grade surgical equipment, imaging systems, on site generation of medical gasses, underwater treadmills, a hydrotherapy pool, a canine gym with computer-aided gait analysis, and one-inch thick rubber floors throughout all client and patient areas for comfort and safety. All of the best in the medical industry was brought together, while maintaining the client’s desire for a facility with the comfortable atmosphere of a hotel/café for the patients, clients, and staff.
ADI wins the construction of Protech’s new state-of-the-art dental laboratory. Protech will use the latest technology, including lasers, to manufacturer crowns, dentures and other related material for the mid-Atlantic and beyond. The 8,725 sq. ft. facility in Reston, Virginia will include a dental lab and fabrication area, several training rooms, reception and offices. LED lights imported from Japan are specifically selected to ensure the color for the new dental material exactly matches the source material.
